FAQ

What is Kombucha?

Kombucha is typically a black or green sweetened tea that goes through fermentation. The fermentation process allows the tea to become naturally carbonated and can have a variety of health benefits, including billions of rich probiotics to sustain gut health, vitamins, and micronutrients.

How do you make kombucha?

It’s rather simple to make! All you need is black or green tea, sweetener, a SCOBY, some starter liquid, and a bit of patience to allow the fermentation to complete :)

What is a SCOBY?

A SCOBY, or Symbiotic Cultures of Bacteria and Yeast, is what allows the fermentation to take place in the kombucha tea. Simply put, this disk will form at the top of the kombucha liquid and essentially eat up the sugars and caffeine to create the healthy bacteria and yeast that kombucha is best known for!

Why drink Kombucharista?

Kombucharista fills the gap between those who want to enjoy their cocktails while being health conscious. Why not enjoy a classic Ginger Beer Mule or Strawberry Basil Margarita without the worry of added corn syrup, and sip on something that is good for your gut?!
