My love for home brewing started in a closet at my parents house. I lived at home while commuting to college when I realized I wanted a new hobby. I was obsessed with kombucha since middle school so I tried my hand at brewing, and I haven’t looked back since.
Our Story
I worked as a bartender during and after college, and while doing so, I noticed a lack of non-alcoholic options to serve my guests. I felt so awkward serving adults basic N/A drinks, so, with my love of brewing and economics background, I began Kombucharista in 2021 for two reasons: there were no cocktail inspired kombucha flavors on the market, and bars and restaurants lacked intriguing non-alcoholic options.
In 2022 Kombucharista became market ready, and we quickly joined the N/A community in Rochester, NY! Bars and restaurants now have extensive zero proof menus, there’s a new N/A bottle shop in town, and local grocery stores are expanding their pre-made options. I am absolutely ecstatic to be a part of this community as the first original cocktail inspired kombucha brand.
With Kombucharista, nothing is fake.
Kombucha brands are now adding stevia leaf and “natural flavors” (whatever that entails). Let’s bring kombucha back to its roots, nix the bad, and keep the integrity by only adding whole fruits, herbs, and citrus to our creations.
Less fizz. More flavor.
Yeah you read that right.
Do you ever experience stomach issues after drinking carbonated beverages? Or drink other store bought booch and it tastes fermented? With no added carbonation, you get a more mild, tame kombucha. Our carbonation comes from the natural effervescence through the fermentation process.
